Two new Partners at corporate restructuring specialists MCR

MCR, the corporate restructuring and insolvency specialist, has appointed two new partners with effect from 1 July 2009 in a move that aims to strengthen further the firm's mid-market and large corporate offering.

Matt Bond and Sallyanne Pitt become Partners effective from July 1st 2009, both appointed from within MCR. The appointments have been made to enable the firm to continue to focus on delivering the best possible service to its clients as they seek to meet the challenges of the current economic climate.

Andrew Stoneman, Managing Partner, MCR commented: "We have had a very strong first half of the year working on a wide range of high quality assignments be that corporate restructuring or insolvency. Our two new Partners strengthen both our restructuring and insolvency offering to mid-market and large corporates; their promotions are fully deserved and reflect the excellent qualities of the individuals concerned.

"With these promotions we are adding new skills and experience to our already talented senior management team. The fact that these new appointments involve people from within MCR testifies to the quality of our team, our nurturing processes and our ability to serve key clients on a national basis,' he added.

Matt Bond has worked at MCR for over a year having previously worked at one of the UK's leading restructuring practices for nearly 9 years and during that period gained further experience while working on secondment in Sydney, Australia.

His background is predominantly in the formal side of corporate restructuring including exit and pre-planning, administrations and liquidations, often in retail and frequently in high profile cases such as MFI.

Sallyanne Pitt becomes the first female Partner at MCR, having been with the firm for over six years, gaining 3 years experience in Australia prior to MCR. Sallyanne is a qualified IP and chartered accountant and works in MCR's Business Consulting division, which entails conducting turnaround consulting strategies, cash flow management and business reviews on behalf of clients.

Sallyanne has previously been on a year's secondment to a major UK bank.
