MCR wins inaugural corporate turnaround award
MCR, corporate turnaround and insolvency specialist, was announced the winner of the Mid Tier / Boutique Restructuring Firm of the Year last week, at the inaugural North West Turnaround Awards. The event was organised by private equity firm Endless LLP, to recognise the role of the professional community in rescuing struggling businesses.
More than 6,000 people from the North West participated by voting in the awards, including asset-based lenders, banks, venture capitalist accountants and solicitors. Phil Duffy, Partner at MCR believes the achievement is great acknowledgement.
"We are very proud of this award as it recognises our emerging reputation in the corporate turnaround sector and the work and dedication all our staff contribute. Given its voted for by our clients across the country, it's a strong reflection that we are delivering an effective and worthwhile service," says Phil.
MCR is renowned for saving businesses, reputations and livelihoods, even in the most difficult of situations. It regularly handles significant projects across a range of sectors including manufacturing, printing, hotels and retail among others.
Duffy concluded: "The award was very competitive and we are delighted to win the very first one. The event was a sell-out and held at the Manchester Art Gallery with more than 300 people in attendance. All profits from the evening have gone to Francis House Children's Hospice.
