New Director for MCR
Thish De Zoysa has joined MCR, the corporate restructuring and insolvency specialist, as Director. Thish, a qualified chartered accountant, has spent a number of years in audit and business assurance, with over 8 years in corporate restructuring. Thish was previously with the business restructuring team at one of the UK's leading accountancy firms.
At MCR Thish will be playing a key role in linking the company's recently launched Debt Advisory team and MCR Finance Brokers, a division dedicated to raising commercial finance for companies based on the strength of their balance sheets. His experience in the Asset Based Lending (ABL) and banking sector has also given him a unique insight into turnaround finance that is core to MCR.
Thish is also focusing on business development, having previously built business restructuring activity with these sectors, leading initiatives to cross sell and promote within his previous practice. At MCR he will be taking a leading role in building on the already impressive client service offering, and assisting in the development of the MCR brand and market profile.
"I have been impressed at the size and growth of MCR over the past year. With 19 Partners and Directors and over 150 staff, the company has demonstrated an unrivalled focus on its continued growth, with a Birmingham office confirmed to open in the summer of this year, and yet all the while maintaining its energy and dynamism," stated Thish De Zoysa.
Andy Stoneman, Managing Partner, MCR, added: "Thish has a proven track record of delivery in business development and corporate restructuring. He is joining a team that is fast developing a solid reputation for delivering a broad array of service lines. I am convinced his experience in operating in the turnaround market, from mezzanine to equity and asset based lending, will be a valuable asset to MCR as we continue to grow."
