Duff & Phelps Appoints New UK Partner to
Global Restructuring Practice

Leading independent financial advisory and investment banking firm, Duff & Phelps, has appointed Peter Cooper as a Partner in its Global Restructuring Practice.

Based in the firm’s London office, Cooper joins from one of the UK’s top mid-tier accountancy and business advisory firms, where he led the UK corporate turnaround team within its Restructuring and Recovery Practice. Earlier, Cooper developed his career in several business advisory roles at both a Big 4 accountancy practice and another mid-tier firm. He also completed a secondment at one of the UK’s large clearing banks.

In his new role at Duff & Phelps, Cooper will be working in the Business Consulting team, with a particular focus on providing effective turnaround solutions for the UK’s main clearing banks and their clients. Cooper will also be advising on solvent restructuring solutions for underperforming and distressed corporates.

On joining Duff & Phelps, Cooper stated: “I am delighted to become part of this energetic and forward-thinking team. I look forward to playing a part in the firm’s growth in Europe while also developing broader consulting services for businesses facing difficulties.”

“I’ve been following Duff & Phelps’ progress over the years with keen interest, as it is an admired firm with a growing global presence. I am enthusiastic to contribute my skills and experience learned in my former advisory roles to the respected team already in place.”

Commenting on Cooper’s arrival, Paul Clark, Partner stated: “We are excited to welcome Peter to Duff & Phelps. He brings extensive and varied experience to our Business Consulting practice. He will be a valued resource for businesses that are facing difficulties in the current economic climate.”
